Portland-based Pat Boas’ work has been shown at the Portland Art Museum (Portland, OR), the Art Gym at Marylhurst University (Marylhurst, OR), Hallie Ford Museum of Art (Salem, OR), Center for Contemporary Art (Santa Fe, NM) and the Boise Art Museum (Boise, ID), among other venues throughout the Northwest. She was awarded the 2012 Bonnie Bronson Fellowship, which honors contemporary artists from the Pacific Northwest. In addition to her visual work, Boas has written articles and reviews for Art Papers and artUS, and was a contributing editor for Artweek from 2002 to 2006. Boas earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in printmaking from the Pacific Northwest College of Art and a master of fine arts degree in painting from Portland State University, where she is now the Director of the School of Art + Design and Associate Professor, Art Practices, Mixed Media. Boas’ work has been included in group shows at the Elizabeth Leach Gallery.
