Amanda Biggs

BIO

Amanda Briggs finds both escape and inspiration in the natural world, specifically in gardening which allows for keenly focused observation of flowers, weeds and leaves. In addition to everyday surroundings, the artist is drawn to found motifs and frenetic designs which are reflected in her fresh interpretations of silhouetted stems against patterned, labyrinthine backgrounds. Amanda Briggs has a BFA and a minor in Sociology from the University of Puget Sound (Tacoma, WA). She also has an AAS degree in Textile Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology (New York, NY).
